Team of You!

Right now the world we live in looks bleak: war, "not so nice" healthcare reform debates and yes the bad economy (although experts are saying we are coming out of the recession). Things look like they can't get any worse, until they did get worst. For me that was in the form of losing my job-but even so-not feeling the emotional support that I need. Honestly-I could have done better in preventing my job from being eliminated but I didn't. Now I am trying to move and look to the future-but when I have people constantly bringing up the "I told you so" and the "Well if you would have done things differently" it's hard to move forward. But I have two legacies that God has entrusted me to bring in this world and raise that I have to move forward for. So with that I am building the team of me, which consists of God, Me and my family (and not all either), that will provide the movtivation and support I need to move forward and go from being unemployed to indispensible! Who's your "Team of You"? How are you getting through your tough times, whether they be health, financial or relationship related?

From Unemployed to Indispensible!

After a year temping at a Fortune 500 company, I find myself unemployed yet again. A bevy of emotions going through my spirit now-anger, grief, confusion, fear-all which I find in my research is supposed to be normal with a job loss, but nonetheless unpleasant. I am living with husband and children, in my mother-in-law’s home and although I am made to feel comfortable (thank God I don’t have the in-laws from hell), I know it’s time for me to grow up and steer my own course in life. I began realizing that I always wanted to build a career in the law industry and am starting on that path, by enrolling in Berkeley College as a Paralegal Major (will finish in September 2010). I know it’s going to take a lot of hard work and discipline on my part but I am prepared to do so. So join me as I go from being unemployed to indispensable and a force to be reckoned with!
